Why doesn't/don't

Some of them do this when you select shortest route rather than quickest Min ... at least mine does ... :suspect: :p

Makes no difference whether I select the shortest or fastest route - it still tries to go 'as the crow flies' - too literally at times

Why are you all putting me off getting a Sat Nav ....

:agree:
- It's a lot cheaper to run and upgrade.
- Doesnt need batteries or good reception
- Doesnt have an irritating voice
- You can throw it as hard as you like to relieve stress
- No "spotty youth" is going to tap on your side window with a brick to come and get it.

On the other hand you do need to know how to read a map and navigate.
Just adds weight to the adage:
"The sum total of inteligence in the universe is a constant, but the population is expanding"

But you must never give the book to her indoors to guide you....its called "Her in Doors Sat Nav" !

I did when caught in a huge traffic jam on the A12 on the way to Clacton.....she gave me all the directions to get tround the jam but suddenly we arrived at a river with NO bridge !!!had to go miles back again and join the queue again :bang:

Another time on the way to Devon and a traffic jam.... turn left and I'll guide you she said, ten minutes later we drove straight into farm yard and I had to explain to the farmer who had guided me .....he thought it was funny ....

Exactly what I meant OB ... ;) ... you get to go places and see people you wouldn't normally go/see ...
