No
On my way home this morning in the snow, I see the Postie pushing his bike and wearing shorts. What's more is, he's also south African, don't they feel the cold?

All of our postmen seem to wear shorts all year round.

I think it's funny when I see people out in the cold wearing a warm winter coat and shorts!

Steve.

in exe add flippys instead of shoes, in DECEMBER :D

And have been known to die from exposure as a result. Lovely thing to find when doing your morning rounds...

was that anything to do with you, we got told about in our guild health and safety briefing :D

No, not directly but a close friend worked at the building in question and I know the chap who found the body.

In the past, I have had to call ambulances for several students who had overindulged (or had their drinks spiked by "friends") and had passed out either on the way into or out of the club I used to work at as well as those who had colapsed inside and been abandoned by their "friends". Also had to do it for a punter (not sure if he was a student) who tried to glass me but ended up jamming the broken stem of a wine glass into his own wrist.

ouchy, not a massive fan of people that don't keep an eye on their drunk friends ya don't want anyone to get into trouble :S

The postman here has hair and beard just like Wild Bill Hickock.
He also has a 1" diameter metal ring through the part of his nose that separates the nostrils.
That apart he is quite friendly.

I think its part of the modernisation program, the management make em wear shorts in the winter so they do the rounds quicker.

A lot of them do it for charity - the other postmen sponsor them.
A lot of them do it as a dare to each other - who can wear them the longest.
A lot of them do it because :cuckoo:

I tend to wear shorts all year round, I do get some funny looks though.

because their idiots?

Can't really agree with that. i guess the wear shorts because of the earlier replies and the fact that have quite an energetic job, whether its a driving round (where i am) or a walking/cycling one. They are pushed to the limits, and if my postie is anything to go by, they are nice, helpful, go above and beyond their call of duty and provide an essential part of the community.

The idiots are the senior managment, or the general public for not appreciating when they are onto a good thing. Before anyone asks i'm not a postie, and no i didn't agree with the recent strikes at all.

Maybe you should wear undercrackers then, as per the "restraining" order! No wonder your cross member dropped off...
