I like creating images that make me think, and make others say “you must have a good camera”.
I sorta love gadgets too, but sorta hate them as well. They tend to make my brain hurt now, but they do allow lots of amazing things. I am tending towards moving pictures nowdays as there is more demand (money) there, but I still love still pics as my brain doesn't hurt quite as much, so it is more relaxing.Well... It all started 30 years ago when I was at college doing Electrical and Electronic Engineering. A girl I fancied was doing Photography as the 'Wednesday Afternoon Activity', I enrolled too and lets just say that it led me to discovering a couple of creative outlets...
Said girl is now part of history but photography has remained an on-off hobby ever since. Coincidentally (or perhaps subconsciously) I've ended up being involved professionally in the electro-optics field for very specialist (military) applications. Photography remains as a welcome artistic/creative outlet for an otherwise died in the wool Engineer while appeasing my shameless love of gadgets. Two big boxes ticked!

50? Do you use all of them? Why do I take photos? Well, what else am I going to do with my 50+ cameras?
a good reason. It's hard to tell with my travel destinations as I like photographing in most places except cities, but then I like travel in most places except cities.I first started taking photos to capture moments, like holidays and days out, but as I found I really enjoyed the whole process, from taking the photos to the editing, collating into albums and sharing them, I've now moved on to creating moments just so I can take photos of them.I had quite a few weekends away last year, and whether there'd be something interesting to photograph largely influenced my choice of destinations.
No. One of them takes an obsolete film size. But the rest get used - not every week, but basically in rotation. I generally have two with film in at any given time.50? Do you use all of them?

I do. There are differences in the lenses (can't beat a Tessar!), format sizes (can't beat a Tessar on a full frame (6O x 90 mm) negative), waist level versus eye level, rangefinder versus SLR, focal plane versus leaf shutter and many other slight but profound differences.Do you enjoy getting a (slightly) different effects from you cameras? I would get lost with the differences and settle on a few.
