Sorry about this but I feel the need for a bit of a rant. :annoyed:
I was walking through some local woods yesterday when I came across the scene below.

What is it (other than selfishness, ignorance, arrogance, greed, etc) that makes people want to dump their rubbish in areas of natural beauty? This is obviously trade waste and whoever did it is saving themselves a few quid by not having to dispose of it through the approved waste handling channels.

I know it's probably no worse than other fly tipping (which is also despicable) but there are plenty of options for getting rid of end of life tyres legitimately.

GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

Totally agree, it really ****es me off too :gag: One of the problems I see is that the cost of getting rid of trade waste really is too much and actively encourages this kind of dumping

Not sticking up for this in any way... but if councils insist on charging people to use dumps, then why should we be surprised at this?

Should government bring in a wheelie bin tax or similar, there will be black bin bags all over the place.

You sound a bit err......."tyred and emotional" :coat:

very sad to see stuff like this, it is obviously trade waste, Our local tip will now NOT allow in vans of any sort or 4 X 4s or estates with tinted out windows( you dont have to be in business to own a little van), obviously some clever cloggs sitting on his overpaid arse in an office has made this decision so it is becoming more common to see flytipping in my area.

sorry to say that things are worse in here Ireland, why - simple, it's 8 euros a wheelie bin for emptying and you have to put a cardboard token on your bin when you put it out. That's why many bins here have padlocks on them.

I came across a very similar scene yesterday driving into work. Along the A road I drive is a small entrance way into a wooded area with a gate across, this is for authorised access only, and therefore the gate is always closed. However the entrance way upto the gate has become a regular dumping ground on a number of occasions, be it bed frames, Electricals, Rubble or Gas bottles and general waste. But yesterday there were tyres dumped there. As in the photo's we're not talking 1 or 2. A Conservative estimate would be something like 30 tyres, just dumped, preventing access through the gate until they are moved.

The sad fact is, as soon as it is cleared some "Illegitimate" will be back to dump some more :bang: :bang:

That does not quite explain all of it. Where I live special uplifts of large household items are free, but folk still take beds and mattresses etc. into the countryside to dump them.
It defies logic.

Thanks to all for reaffirming that there are still some sane people out there who agree with me!

Trust Flash In The Pan to "make light" of a situation!.

Getting rid of tyres in South Essex is £1.70+VAT per tyre, so the saving to the scum who fly tip them is considerable.

I had a friend over from Croatia a while back. We went out for the day and he was surprised to see sofa's and fridges dumped at the side of the road. He told me that if that happens in his area the Police visit every electrical store to see who has bought a new fridge and then those people get visited and questioned about what happened to the old one. Surprisingly, fly tipping doesn't happen very often where he lives.

they'll have come from some scumbag scrapping cars, the scrapyards won't take cars with wheels on so they cut the tyres off and throw the wheels in the car
