When I post/read in Nikon items for sale??

What Operating system and browser are you using? Are you using a VPN?

I've been getting some inconsistent behaviour in the last 15 minutes, sometimes the Ooops message and it can't display a thread, then I tried posting and got a window showing my post as an edit, but that cleared the next time I refreshed. I wonder if we have a bot swarm having a go?

I’ve been getting this message quite a lot this evening. Also peoples avatars aren’t always loading. I think the same issue happened before a while ago.

#metoo on the Canon R Series mega thread (and others)!

Managed to finally get on, but the site is deffo broken.
some avatars not showing little squares with question mark
some images not showing, same as above
clicking on messages comes up with "oops we ran into a problem"

MacBook Pro, tahoe 26.3.1, Safari browser

I've changed some settings so hopefully this issue will improve
I'm still getting this happen to me on everything I use.

I'm constantly getting the error, on DuckDuckGo and Chrome on my phone and Firefox and Safari on the computer.

Out of interest how are people browsing the site? Do you have several tabs open for TalkPhotography? The issue is triggered by making too many hits on the site in a short time

I keep getting this error message on my screen.

I’m browsing with Safari on a Mac Studio. Only one TP tab open.

Sorry but I’ve posted the error message on a new thread, I couldn’t read this one so I started a new.

Delete it if necessary.

I've merged the threads

Are you still getting the error?

It appears not? I am able to read more threads compared to earlier in the morning.

Yeah, I got this 403 page too hour or so ago; triggered just few minutes after I visited the site using my main browser configuration (vintage Pale Moon + noscript); and it hit after I already finished logging in. (Heavens, why?) It was also triggered under "modern" (Firefox) browser as well, at least in noscript configuration that I tried at that time.

But now that I'm temporarily on that "modern" browser with scripts turned on (and maybe my ISP's CGNAT IP rotated again, confounding it further), it seems to be holding on a little bit; finger-crossed...

Edge, usually in the only window, although I do sometimes have a couple of other tabs open on other sites at the same time.

Had assorted messages and an oddly formatted page earlier but so far this afternoon, normal service has been resumed.

Good luck wiping the botbots... and thanks for all your (whole staff) efforts, as always.

On Safari, having the same issues keeps giving same errors, won't load site at all unless its on private browser, no VPNs etc

I’m still fine here :)

Clear your cache and all your cookies;)

It was O.K later yesterday and early this morning, but the same thing has started again now for me.

I've been getting it a lot over the past few days (Forbidden). Chrome browser, no VPN. Tried Brave but same thing. Tried phone, get strange pagination.

Seems to be sporadic.

This is a part of the reason:

Members online - Total: 1,688 (members: 35, guests: 1,653)

At one stage it was many thousands causing effectiively a DDOS. Not sure if it's AI scraping or something else.

Looks like the total has dropped a little. I've not had any issues since my post above, do you reckon something in the region of 1500/1600 is the threshold before it starts to do this?

I'm not sure any of the team could answer that at this stage, because it may depend on what's being done by the bots.

That's me getting it again.

At the moment you seem to be the only person reporting this and you are obviously able to access the site to post these reports ...
