Why do Ebay allow this?

"if you will leave me with negative feedback will be report to ebay"

Says it all really.

I remember reading about a site where you could buy old accounts with good feedback and loads of sales.

Because there are millions and millions of auctions each day and I suspect they dont have enough staff to police them all......

Its not right I do agree but personally I check to see what a seller has sold/bought in the past before considering bidding on thier item. If I saw this as one of thier feedback, I would not even consider buying from them.

I cant believe that 52 have been sold!!

How much faith can you put in Ebays feedback system?

There should be a way to report that listing to ebay, like there is a "report this post" button on this and many other forums.

Well if you read the neg feedback, someone HAS reported it!

Ebay feedback has meant nothing for a long time!

there is and they don't allow it but as someone has said it's about man power and policing :)

always best to report these listings! I just have. Its bad for the feedback system in general!

Ebay don't allow it, but mainly rely on people to report items. I do it when I'm bored.

I have more of an issue with people selling fake stuff on there TBH. I have bought 2 ds games on there and both were fake, reported to pay pal and they did pretty much stuff all. In the end I took it to elspa through trading standards and really dropped the seller in the brown stuff. I don't bother buying games on there now, which is a shame.

I've reported that guy too.

Because they're all sat about on their fat arses, too busy counting their money to give two farts about policing the monster they created.
Masters of dodging responsibility...

Yes, I'm beginning to think ebay protection is a joke. It is an illegal item, I've just reported it too :)

The problem with ebay is that they do not seem to be proactively stopping auctions like this or fake items. As stated above, the shear volume of auctions posted each day make policing ebay a nightmare, but then they are raking it in and should therefore invest much more heavily on stamping this kind of stuff out.
Whenever I have had a problem with rogue traders or dodgy buyers, the ebay customer support have done NOTHING!. They're more than happy to take your money for listing items + final value fees + paypal fees, but when things go wrong they wash their hands of the issue.

There is a way to report the listing, I just did it for this listing. If everyone else does the same it should get removed.

Me too. Disgraceful seller and i wish we could report all those that have bought as well!

I reported it as fraud, Ebay have sent confimation but say they can not update me on the out come.

One of the reasons I dumped ebay a couple of years ago was a seller I bought from used retaliatory feedback undeservedly. As I recall, I left neutral feedback about the quality of a car seat cover. He left negative for me and would only remove it if I removed mine. His attitude was he sold thousands of items and my feedback would roll off the page within a day or two, whereas his would be there for ages and ruined my 100% positive feedback until then.

ebay couldn't be arsed when i complained. Then they jacked the fees up, and paypal then started clinging on to money for up to 28 days i think. Enough was enough. Saved myself a fortune not buying on ebay in the end.

And a lovely reply to one of the -ve feedback left for him

"Reply (02-Mar-10 17:42):

It's another reason I have for not using ebay, I'll wait my thirty days and post here lol!

Am I right in thinking for each person that buys this item, he will be charged a final valuation fee?

Anyone thinking what I'm thinking?

Great idea but is it worth the bad feedback he will inevitably give us?

Ebay don't seem to care to police their own site, and they appear to ignore reports from end users of clear violations (anyone remember Eport UK and the thread we had here warned days before Ebay acted?)

I reported it, and its still running even those Ebay's own T&Cs says that feedback buying and selling is not allowed.

I got so annoyed with Ebay over this, I called them up about the lack of action.

The chap looked at it and his words were "this undermines the whole feedback system" - I asked why the reports were ignored, and he said they got several 1000's a day.

Anyhow, he is passing it on to "Community Support"

the first listing has been removed, the second is still running. Can anyone remember the first guys user name (something like rudeboi), be good to see if he's baned????
