Been chatting to a guy today who does a bit of dealing on Ebay and gets stuff from charity shops, cash converters etc,now I regularly look in these places but never have any luck,he has picked up a Canon Battery pack for the 400D and a Tamron 28-200 autofocus zoom both boxed for a fiver each, makes you want to spit

as they say s++t Happens i Just bought 2 lenses the other day that i am selling now on e bay one has just gone for £42.00 + Postage The Other £67 and 3 Days Remaining also plus post and only paid £30.00 for the pair was a bit of luck though

Dont get too upset Captain------That Tamron lens is a dog ----a bloody cheap one though !!!!!!!!!!!!
Pete.

its a good piont to check them places first though ;)

Keep looking an you'll get lucky eventually!

All of my lenses (except kit) have been bargains - Nifty Fifty for £50 (ebay), 18-55 IS for £85 (ebay) and the best, new 70-200 f/4L for £100 (friend who does auctions).

Just keep looking and they'll appear eventually. I saw a tip-top used EF 28mm f2.8 go for about £45-odd quid on ebay the other night.

The only bargains i ever see on ebay are the things i try to sell.

There must be something wrong with them for £5. Or the people selling them were really desperate.

Cash converter? That's almost guaranteed to be stolen goods.

Be very, very careful about buying from pawn shops.

Rather amusingly, the Cash Converters in Southampton (Shirley) is next to the police station who have take it upon themselves to put up a huge banner facing the shop that says "buying stolen goods feeds crime".

Well I laughed

That's a kind of sweeping statement - got any proof to back that up?

You're not kidding, libellous i'd think , i've sold a couple of things to cash Converters and i've had to provide proof of ID before they'd buy it

I'm not sure that the goods in cash converters are nicked are not but they are over priced, i never know how they sell any thing?
