Why can't I delete some folders in win 7?

I am sure there must be a simple solution to this! I have spent quite a few hours sorting out my photographic folders, general housekeeping etc. I have moved some folders as they were in the wrong place or inaccurately named. However I have ended up with some folders, which are now empty, and I can't cancel, move or rename them for some reason. I get an error message which says something like this folder has been moved or deleted and it can't be modified.
How can I delete them please?!

I've had similar issues in the past, although I can't help with what may have caused the problem. I use a shell extension, called Remove on Reboot. http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Remove-on-Reboot-Shell-Extension-Download-11973.html

Like most irrational and illogical things WRT computers, they do it because they can and they know it p***es us off!

Try revo uninstaller, its that good I bought it online, not expensive either, think there is a trial download

As in you've deleted more files?

Don't bother with the Revo uninstaller above.

Seen that before myself. A reboot usually sorts it. It's like windows thinks some other program has locked the folder so won't let you do anything with it.
