used to be a right party here with posters having had too much to drink and pounding the keypad till 2am

uni types insulting all and sundry

ex-grunts slagging off anyone who 'didn't' use a filter whilst diving into ditches

opposites saying never use a filter

wedding togs united in arms against all upstarts

noobies moaning about lack of feedback

spam posters wondering why they could not sell stuff

GOD I miss it all..............................:'(
 
TV wise saturdays have really gone downhill. All we see are the same judge n vote shows. If its not a bunch of losers singing, its another bunch of losers trying to dance or something nobody cares about. They even had a ballroom dancing in wheel chairs judge n vote show, its getting stupid.

What happened to the old classic saturday nights? Blind date, gladiators and the ITV saturday night film with the best bits cut and all the swearing redubbed.
 
Because saturday night tv is awesome..... NOT.

I think becausse the TV is so naff people are going out and or have company over.

bu ti agree with you the debates gave gone some for the better other i think were just sooo funny ..
 
ive noticed this too, other forums i visit are alot slower than they used to be,
 
I expect it's because all the really cool dudes are on Twitter or Faecesbook and it's just us old fuddy duddys left on here.
 
its wierd as you'd think it would be the other way round, people staying in to cut costs just hitting the bottle hehe
 
I am still getting over the Southern Comfort from last night :(. By drinking lots of beer tonight :nuts: Who needs tv :shrug: I got some Dub playing on shoutcast radio and listening through the tin cans :love:

What's a TV? I bought and wall-mounted a big lcd. No idea why, I very, very rarely watch TV. The usual trash is no better, in fact worse, when it's bigger :) The boy plugs in his laptop and sits through endless Chinese martial arts films, though.
I'm currently bemoaning not being able to find Evita to watch (again!) on the other monitor while finishing a bottle of wine. And now being faintly surprised I'm getting any image at all from straight (non-tpu) flatbed scanning of LF negs.
I know I had a life, just not sure where I put it!
 
Your boy is on to something Mike...foreign films are the way forward!

I have seen two over the last few days that have been excellent...Rare Exports (Finnish) and The Troll Hunter (Norwegian)...both great films and totally original to boot....maybe this should have it's own thread?
 
I don't mind them myself, a good one and I'll forget I'm reading sub-titles.
I'll look those two up. Last few I watched were Japanese teen horrors. The Grudge, One Missed Call. Finnish/Norwegian sounds interesting!
 
And also "Let The Right One In" (Swedish I think)...just been remade in Yankyish as "Let Me In", but the origianl is miles better, the camerawork is just something else...(compared to the remake)
 
Let The Right One In is excellent. There's also a good few Japanese/Korean area ones like Death Note 1&2 and Ring. Battle Royale is quite reasonable too.
 
Well due to power problems last night there was no TP on Saturday night for me.

Instead I let the wine flow and lose 2-0 to Mum at Snakes & Ladders!!!
 
Well Sunday night TV is awesome tonight.
There has been some great comedy on Sky news.
Gaddafi's son should come and do the UK stand up circuit, he'd make a fortune :D

I watched it on BBC news. He went on for 40 odd minutes blaming everyone else for his country's problems. Pure gold entertainment. I'm surprised he didn't blame as well Torvill & Dean, little green men on Mars, price of fish at Sainsburys etc

Anyone complaining about Saturday night TV should put BBC4 on at 9pm and watch 'The Killing'. Unfortunately it's up to epsiode 10 now so there's a lot of story to catch up on.
