Right, im building my own 4x5 camera at the moment and have built a lens to go with it. From plastic optics i found online. I've done a quick test shot, and its not bad considering, but i have since thought about using film perhaps in the future, im using direct positive paper at the moment for testing.
Now when i use film i know that shutter speeds will be greatly increased (direct positive is about iso3) so for this i have bought myself a prontor press shutter. It was sticking but after a careful cla it seems to be firing at the correct speeds.
Now my question is, i am not sure what size lens barrel screws into the front or what size threads they are for that matter. I could dig out my verniers and thread gauge but they are buried under a ton of stuff in my dads house.
My research so far has me to believe there are #0s #1s and a myriad of other fittings and mounting options.
Im a bit handy so even to know the thread size would be groovy, i might be able to cobble a fitting or mount with filter step rings or what have you
