Who's the best band you've seen live?

Some from the past
Genesis (The Lamb Lies Down Tour)
Led Zeppelin
The Who

and more recently
Roger Waters (Dark side of the Moon tour)
Joe Bonamassa
Neil Young
Nick Cave
Alabama 3

Seen 100's more but these ones stood out for their live performance either visually musically or both.

Rush - R30 tour in 2004
Peter Gabriel
Foo Fighters

Only ever been to one concert so Guns n Roses, Faith No More and SoundGarden.

Man City Ground.......We've talked about this before on another thread :D

The cancelled Wednesday concert put back to Sunday.

Was a good one.

Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band

Top five in no particular order:

Deep Purple, NEC, Birmingham
Rush, MEN, Manchester
The White Stripes, Empress Ballroom, Blackpool
Dio, Hammersmith Odeon, London
Blue Oyster Cult, Apollo, Oxford

UFO, Scorpions, MSG, Black Sabbath all come close.

Rolling Stones - 1964 Carlisle
The Hollies - 80's Aberdeen Capitol

I was at that one, or at least one of the dates as they did a few nights. If it was the Invisible touch tour.

Yep. Sadly, I was with two other people and one of them got scared about being on the pitch near the front so we moved up to the stands by which time we ended up a long way from the stage so it could have been so much better.

Thats the exact one I went to, bloody didnt find it was cancelled till you turned up to get in, apparently axl rose was ill, but I heard he was having issues with then girlfriend stephanie seymour. They also came on 2 hrs late and people started booing, until Slash was seen walking to the stage in the background.

Led Zepplin at Wembly in 197.....something, I still have the ringing in my ears, mind bending event will remember to my last days. :)

Was in France about five years ago and by chance went to see Rammstein, bloody brilliant.

Just an old headbanger at heart just can't do the jumping up and down bits.

Dire Straits - Wembley Arena 1985
Queen - Wembley Stadium 1986 (Supported by Status Quo, INXS, The Alarm)
Genesis - Wembley Stadium 1987

How strange, I can't remember INXS being there, were they there all n ights ?

Saw Rammstein at the Wembley arena this year absolutely brilliant!
Sage Francis is a definite as well, so much energy

Going to show my age a little bit here....

I would have to say the best "show" is a close run thing between Meatloaf and Rod Stewart - I'm not a big fan of either, but they know how to entertain!

Eminem was also good, if let down by his technical backup a little

Queens of the Stone Age, Adequate 7 and Pendulum are my top three I think.

The best groups I've seen are The cure, Depeche Mode, Radiohead, Orbital and Massive Attack, but picking a winner is easy.

U2 at Wembley Stadium, Zoo TV Tour, 1993. They were supported by Bjork and Carter USM.
Bloody Awesome!
