have you spoke to picture desks re: receiving pics? Your e-mail may come up as spam without them knowing.

Beat me to it!

I used to find that when emailing, especially with big, multiple attachments most servers would treat my email as spam.

Could be worth a quick ring to see what they prefer. Some newspapers have specific drop-box email addresses or FTP servers.

Of course, I could be teaching grandma to suck eggs.
 
I used the same email list as last season and got summat published.. but it did cross my mind exactly whats been said..

I may mail each one individualy see if I need to register... wont cost or kill me to do it :)
 
Trouble is that if you want to FTP to numerous papers, it takes ages as you need to do each individually. Email gets them all at once (assuming they don't treat it as spam).

You could always put a read receipt on it.

A read receipt is an email you get back from the person you sent it to, which confirms that they have opened it.

However they can choose not to send the receipt, so it's not a 100% fail safe guide.

It will be an Option somewhere in your email client.

I think its a microsoft thing... i recall seeing it.. I have never used microsoft for email in nearly 20 yrs of sending them :)

Yep - I've got FTP for 4 of the national papers but don't use it any more as email is much more effective & quick when sending to multiple recipients.

I send email from the game for sunday papers... then have a proper look when i get home and send to diff emails for monday papers... do you send to all on the day?

BTW I emailed each paper individualy on friday asking if need to reg and can they confirm correct email... Only one paper replied :(
