Yes
Not that i'm counting but its only 117 days till our holidays. Two weeks in the blazing sun of Tunisia, cant wait.... OK i am counting but so what.

So my question is who's going where, when and why there?

We're going back to Tunisia mainly because my employer shuts down for the most expensive two weeks of the years and Tunisia represents excellent value for money; it has lots of history to go look at and it's only a three hour flight.

Hopefully we might also be able to squeeze in a couple of weekends away with the tent if the weather here is kind to us all.

So.... Who, Where & Why?

Just for a change, we're heading to Crete in early June. Been a few times before so we know where we're going, where to eat, drink and beach. Got acomodation booked apart from the first night but that's an easy phone call and is combined with renting a car (the car hire people also have a few appartments, so they pick us up from the airport and give us somehwere to stay for the first night, rather than us having to drive 200 km in the dark after a 3 1/2 hour flight).

Been a ****** year so far, so REALLY looking forward to getting away for a couple of weeks.

We've just been skiing to France, but hoping to go with the family sometime in December again.

I quite fancy a go at skiing but she who must be obeyed says no.

I don't blame you...my dad who has not skiied for like 12 years, did a number of dare devil things! Far safer, and much more fun, going to Tenerife and staying in the complex for 2 weeks as my cousins do.

I'm going hiking in Austria for two weeks with my cousin again. Been to the same hotel before so it should be ok. Hoping to get some marmot photos this time and maybe Eagles if they are about. Its not a particularly relaxing holiday but I feel very fit by the time I get back.

We are packing a suitcase and just doing a driving holiday around Britain, we were going to do Europe but it was going to be a bit too expensive so we opted for Britain

Hopefully Morocco!

I've been changing my mind on a daily basis, there's just so many places to choose from! Although my mind's been stuck on Morocco for the past month or so now. Hopefully lots of weekends camping/surfing/togging down west Wales too!

I love Spain, once you get off the tourist track its a totally different place to the Brits on the **** image. I'd love to jump in t'wifes convertible and drive down through France and spend a week touring Spain then take a few days driving back. I've flown over the Pyranese (sp??) many times but would love to drive through them.

Maybe one for the future.

Surfinrach90, if you liek Morocco, you'll love Tunisia. Cheap as chips as they say.

went to las vegas a few weeks back and to hemsby this weekend
bit of a contrast there i think
off to turkey in july for two weeks same place as last year as we had such a good time there
really looking forward to it as it has been a pretty crap year for me so far

Hearthstone Edge & Windowsill Bay for us this summer.

Me the wife and sprog are off to Egypt in august. Just bought a lovely bag to take all camera equipment with me and learning to dive to take in the underwater beauty's aswell.

North Africa (Egypt & Tunisia) in August will be like a furnace. Pack the factor 25 and turn me every half hour till i'm done. Lovely.

The only bad thing about Tunisia is the booze is like making love in a dinghy.... f****ng close to water !

I think i'll really miss my two weeks camping though, Really like touring in the UK with the tent, you are hard pushed to beat it for value for money. I can recommend a great site nr Malton Yorkshire or another near Stonehenge in Wilts if anyone is interested.

Haven't quite decided. Either a cruise in the Far East or 1 week cruise on the River Nile plus another week split 2 centres Cairo and Luxor.

What's a holiday?:thinking::thinking::thinking:
Other than an odd day off work here and there, I've not had a holiday in about 7 years.:shake:

Nilagin: you really should have a holiday. The world will not stop because you have two weeks a year away from work. On the other hand if you are working that hard you can't get away then thats the perfect reason for doing so.

Nowhere as exotic as you guys, gonna drag the aircraft carrier into
Wales in July and then up to Bonnie Scotland in August and we're
away in it pretty much every other weekend up to November

.

Shetlands sounds nice, plenty of photo ops.

Arizona for a ranching holiday and then flying down to Orlando for 10 days to stay with relatives in early June,

May be just Maybe going back to Kenya in September if the prices are right.

Going to Scotland in summer to visit a friend for a long week end before harvest starts.

I would be just as happy in Scotland or Cornwall if the weather was right here.

I never used to have holidays as I had horses here and they were 24/7 365 days a year so am making up for it now :D

Sounds fab Nicki Arizona, a place wed like to visit

I wouldn't mind going back to Kenya around September-ish, as we didn't get to the Masai Mara, we did Tavso East and West safaris , for 6 days and nights then 7 days beach in Bamburi and did a few small safaris and our own thing, last year it was fabulous

You have not lived if you have not been to the Masai mara awesome place.

I want to do Tsavo this year if the price is right have got a private person to contact and a good deal in a Diani beach hotel so will have to see.

I really long to go back there and it is true once you have been you suffer from the "itis" syndrome - Kenyaitis :lol: it is catching

with sprog no1 on the way all holidays have been cancelled. Was going to Spain, and Abu dhabi. Not anymore GRRRR :(

Celtia beer - the only lager in the world that tastes as crap on the first pint as it does 15 pints later!!

Venezuela in september then Kenya and Tanzanya in december.

VERY rare for us to have a holiday, never mind leave the country, but this year we went to Vegas (justified as a business trip to WPPI).
I am hoping next holiday will be Vegas too!

Off to one of the Greek Islands next month and already thinking of somewhere to go in July.

One day maybe.:(

We might be off to Slovakia for our freinds babys christening, will be our first official proper holiday, as every hol before we have visited our family in our home towns

Ferry to Santader then circumnavigate the Pyrenees in the car - south through Spain over to France and north to Santander again.

I should add it's not really a holiday for me - it's a photo opportunity!
