Who / where do you get your inspiration from?

Tv and film , music videos.
 
Some of the people on here! I look at their photos and think thats fantastic, how is it done etc etc
 
Here, movies, ads and alike, anywhere you can see images...I also find an interesting subject or wonderful light can inspire me to shoot like crazy. In fact Id guess most photographers go completely potty when faced with those wonderful sunsets at just the right location ...theirs just not enough time not to be inspired by he glory of it all right!
 
I love to read books on photography and watch the odd YouTube video too. The main person who inspires me is Joe Cornish. Check out his YouTube, Phase One video's as they are excellent.

I don't take inspiration from anyone else TBH. I see a few photos on here and sometimes try to do my take on it, but that's about all. I tend to get most of my inspiration by keeping my eyes open while I'm out and about.
 
I will always refer to the work of the classic masters of our time, but nowadays the internet has opened us up to talent on a global scale which we can access from our fingertips. I regularly just browse through 500px 1x etc and browse galleries, and there is some simply stunning work there... other than that, I have my favourite photographers who I always follow like dave hill, joey L, david duchemin,steve mcurray,phil borges,F scott shcafer, jill greenberg and adrian samson to name a few...
 
Can't say I'm inspired by anyone on here, primarily because there aren't many who shoot what I do.

I enjoy looking at the various groups on Flickr, as well as 500px. I've also got lots of books, which I look at for inspiration. However, my style is my own and it's not based on anyone elses work!
 
Another vote for this forum, there are some great images posted on here everyday with a massive range of styles and subjects.
 
for my more recent stuff, it's probably 16th and 17th Century Dutch and Flemish painters...

(yep - I don't get out much anymore...)
 
I was inspired long before I hit any forum online. I come to places like this for a bit of advice and 'friendly' chit chatter with like minded folk, but inspiration? nah

I get inspired by people in general, out and about. Or a specific light that may fall across a scene, it's all in the lighting, natural or otherwise.

I get mine from the world around me, both real and virtual. Then I come on here for the "How to" guide, so I can turn this inspiration into images.:)
