Who uses an iPad for their PHOTOGRAPHY BUSINESS?

The screen on the archos is dreadful I found.

yeah, i think partly android isn't geared up for the higher res of the 10", the 7" one uses a standard phone res

It may partly be due to the limitations of Android. But it's mainly down to the hardware. I've not seen anything to compare to the IPS screen on the iPad. Everything else just looks dull in comparison.

I agree the screen on the iPad is really good.

I'm waiting for the first half of 2011 to see what Android tablets 9-10" hit the streets.

The Android tablets need to have Gingerbread (3.0) before they will be any good as FroYo isn't optimised for a tablet.

If you do not currently have dedicated photo hosting, companies such as zenfolio have a free app that allows you to display the galleries from you website on your ipad/iphone with ease. Saves having to constantly be updating your device seperatly.

But iTunes is horribly restrictive

In what way?

I borrowed an iPad for a few hours and was quite impressed with it. Dont think I will get one though, you will probably end up buying a stand for it so customers can look at the images confortably and in that case you might as well get a laptop. I use a Macbook.

But, talking about all things that begin with i, I decided to get my wife an iRon for Christmas.
Hope she'll be pleased......

We did this 3 years ago before iPad and was horrendous.

With a video connection you get the same 'quality' and size of image as displayed on the back of your camera, enlarged to the size of the dvd screen. It looks truly awefull.
.

I think that depends on the camera and set-up you use. Some will produce HD output from the sensor/tiff, not just up-scale the compressed jpeg
