Who stole all the 40Ds?

Finally talked myself into buying a 40D - I ring up Warehouse Express to check their stock, they have 0 - with 70! on backorder. Have had a quick look round other sites I can think of that offer real time stock info and seems someone has eaten all the 40Ds

Seems only the more expensive places like Jessops have them in stock (and even my local jessops are only offering collections after the 12th, which makes me think they have no stock, but are expecting/hoping for more)

No real point to this thread just REALLY want a 40D now

looks like one-stop digital have them too [they usually say when they dont, and that isnt showing on listing] but I dont know what the international warranty issues are with Canons :shrug:

Just checked with CameraWorld as I am waiting for one from them and apparantly Canon has sold out, guess thats Canon UK, so will be a couple of weeks before the next ones start to filter through!

If U get lucky with your local Jessops, do use WEBEX24 code to get 26.99 off your 40D.

I am told by some that Jessops do not acknowledge this code but no harm trying..........

Just found that Jacobs are listing them as in-stock, so fired off an email checking. Couldnt be arsed to ring

Just heard back from Jacobs and they are out of stock of "bodies only" - but are expecting stock in the next 10 day.

Reminds me of when the Nikon D70 came out. I had one on order for a couple of months. The supplier had no idea when I would receive mine.

I went over to France on Le Shuttle and visited Cite Europe the giant shopping complex near the tunnel. Wandered in to one of the shops there and they had them in stock. A few minutes later I walked out with a D70! The manual was in French but a quick visit to the Nikon UK website and I had one in English!

So if you fancy a day trip to France!
