Was due to do some work for Gateshead at their game with Barrow tomorrow, but six inches of snow on the pitch and much more to come has put paid to that! No idea about the weekend, depends on whether any work is made available or not, not that many teams will be playing up here this weekend anyway.

Geech is a bit of a hero but i wish he'd forget about Bath and get his arse back oop North to Headingley and help Back sort Leeds Carnegie out. They need some experience up there ASAP!

I dont think anything can save Leeds this season

I think you're right unfortunately. :shake: ****es me off. Leeds fans were put through the wringer last season. Looked likely we'd go down but then managed to stay up..... it supposedly brought a LOT of extra money to the 'playing budget', yet we still loose cpl of best players and bring in nobody exciting to replace them. sad times.

Theres obviously a few imports who are just taking the **** out of the club as well.

Well I managed the 4 matches..2 at 10.30 and 2 at 1.15 ... both matches on adjoining pitches so I just sat in middle and did em both.. was very cold..

Got a school dinner which was nice.. table and chairs a bit low but luverly curry and an cutey ikle carton of juice :)

wrexham girls match this evening off though.. however as I am on a day rate (+sales) then its a welcome evening off as it was cold today..

Not at West Ham tonite thankfully as I seem to be coming down with a cold.

Should have been there.

Man Utd humilitated by The Hammers :bang:

You are a real trooper Tony.

Up to Scotland for a match that was called off, then out tonight in this freezing weather.

Show's what a REAL pro is made off.

I bet you eat FIVE Shredded Wheat for brekkie

:D

Too right!

Helen, colds are no excuse for not going and seeing the drubbing of a lifetime (or 9 years) given out to Man U.

Sorry James and Robin, I have learned my lesson, but it wasn't my fault I couldn't go :-( I would have loved to seen that.

I do feel awful tho, need to get better for the weekend.

Get well soon Helen. If this snow keeps coming I cant see anyone doing anything. :shake:

downhill skiing luge & bobsleigh could be on the cards lol or cross country skiing to get to the game.

I wish.., My bones are creaking..

Todays matches at St Helens are OFF but replaced by a FUTSAL tournament in Birmningham 11.30 am -4pm tommorow (indoors so should be on) ... thats me setting off in rush hr traffic to get into brum for 11.30 :( then from 4pm to get to bristol for a girls footy match at 6.30 but thats on astro turf outdoors.. cant see it being on... which would mean heading back up the m6 at 4pm aaaargh

Not a flake of snow in Brizzle Tony so unfortunately you'll definitely be on! Especially if it's astro-turf as only the rovers pitch is frozen (and thats because they're so close to the water-table there it's like ice-skating)

Wow seriosuly? .. I would rather go down to bristol and do that than up the m6 at 4pm .. or is it just as bad 4pm brum to bris... Its Filton College I wil be loking for?

Filton's astro-turf will be dry as a bone...it's a good quality surface, with good drainage etc.

We had a dusting yesterday morning after about 1cm on Friday...it's nearly all melted now though.

You might queue a bit from the M5/M4 junction, but other than that, you'll be fine.

Cheers for that :) so far all the girls games (done training sessions) I ahve had booked in the last week or so have been off bar one.. that was against man utd girls and they are being a bit precious about publishing the photos :( so need to get one in and tommorows the last day of the tour...

I think Tony needs a good 4x4 in this weather.

Ha ha

South East London and down the A2 and A20 virtually at standstill.

Might help if they grit some of the roads.

Loads of trains not running as well - wrong kind of snow / winter weather...

Very little chance of any games below the Championship going ahead up here I'd say, so my weekend will probably be limited to solely Sunderland v West Ham on Sunday (and even that isn't 100% either). :(

Sheffield United V Reading for me on Saturday, if it's on, & if I can get there of course .

Man c v Saltzburg tonight ( cold)
Saturday Blackburn v wolves
Liverpool v Villa monday
