don't you have to be a registered company to own a .co.uk domain?
no because im not in columbia
.co.uk and .com will always be the preferable.
I always wondered why you can't get a top level .uk domain as .co.uk seems a bit "messy" to me and is a mouthful if you ever need to read it out to someone
most other countries seem to offer top level domains such as .co for columbia so why not the uk?

Well choose a different one then. People in the UK who see your domain name written will probably read it as .com or .co.uk regardless. And people who hear it spoken will definitely get it wrong. The reason I ask is the domain I want is taken both .com and .co.uk
foo.bar

there should be some way to stop domains being wasted in this wayThe annoying thing is that the .com and co.uk are only parked domains. Companies that own them both want $3000+ for them.
