Who is your favourite Talk Photography member?

I'm not sure who my favourite person on TP is, but It's the person who keeps voting for my shots in the POTY competition. Whoever, you are, Aye-Thanke-Yeowww!!! :)

Secretly I kinda like Dekhog and Trenchy as well, yeah we rub each other up the wrong way, but it is an internet forum, not real life and I`m sure both are good guys in the flesh................:)

I'm not too sure about Dekhog ;), but Trenchy, if you mean Trenchneel, he's kinda funny in a nice sort of way.:)

Hoppy

As others have said he has the patience of a saint when explaining stuff and tailors his style to suit - putting as much effort into discussing modest equipment with beginners as he does expensive gear with more experienced photographers.

On a personal note when I lost use of my arm - he offered (without me asking) to lend me some gear that he knew would help me out.

No-one's mentioned the Mods?

Or Jason Cole, probably the person we'd all like to be? Lucky man ;)

I like some of Jason's work, but how many posts of his do you recall outside of his "look at my latest shots of my wife (aren't I lucky?) and buy my latest DVD" posts...?
Nice shots, but he and one or two others just seem to use TP as an advertising platform rather than joining-in with the wider community.

Cosmix,- always there to hand out advice and enjoys my chocolate cake

Cosmix3 for helping me choose the 100-400 along the way:nono:;):p

Thanks Guys :$

As for me, Ummm, a hard one there are so many, so here are a few of them:

Well has to be all the staff, Mods & Admin, they make this place what it is, thanks Guys, and Girls :D

Trev (TrevDR) - for all he has done for me, some good trips out, and an ear to listen and advise, thanks Trev.

Nicki (Briony) - For her hospitality, in opening her home to so many members to have a chance to photograph her Kites, Oh, and the lovely cake :D

Chris (Cobra) - again for his tropical meets at Whipsnade, and the trip to Donna Nook (again tropical ;) ), and for being fun and making everyone

John (jgs001) - for his help with my Moon shots, and all the advice when buying my Scope, Thanks John.

Ryan (TheNissanMan) - for his sheer determination.

Jason Cole, Like his work, maybe one day my Studio Work will be as good.

But most of all, each and everyone of you that has answered a thread of mine, giving me guidance, and helping me to improve, without that the forum would not be as good and popular as it is.

You are most welcome anytime;)

I cant really say I have a favorite I enjoy joining in with most convo's, I aint been round her that long but really learning alot. If I had to pick I'd say Rob (Arkady) for many reasons, his love of UV filters being one and Gandhi because well.... have you seen some of his work?

Hopefully be here alot longer to to get to know more of ya, pity I am across the sea cause I would luve to attend some of the meets, if any of you are in my neck of the woods let me know.

I'm new here but think it's a great place. Many, many people make the forum what it is. A couple of mentions from me.
First Cowasaki for letting me use a lens before buying one and also showing me the basics of studio photography. Not to mention his kind work for Wheels and MagicMynx.
-Rob- for organising the Haslam park meet, I couldn't make it, but an fine example of putting the extra effort in to make something happen.
The critics who hit the mark, Tiler and Arkady, sharp in spotting stuff and sharp in letting you know.
The Mods - a sensible policy on the whole and lots of effort on their part I'm sure.
The sports togs like Rover_Andy, Kipax and Gary et al. I'm quietly learning from them
And finally anyone that makes me think with their posts or shots

Five pages and I only get two mentions. I'm gonna cry into a cream cake now :( lol

For me, it has to be Canon Bob who springs to mind first. He's a thumpingly nice fellow.
There are a hell of alot of brilliant people on here...

oops, I think you'll find it's Rob, and he doesn't just shoot Nikon. His other weapon of choice is a SA-80

 the B is next to the N though - big hands little keyboard :p

Koolpc because he's kept us entertained, driven mad with 12 pages and 344 post (and counting) on the thread 2 camera's which one (although its been several camera's one bought and returned, one dropped and broken beyond repair etc......

and finally

Arkady and desantnik because they just give you it straight and always add an interesting slant on the thread

Right one concrete overcoat being made for you right now!!!

Can you make one for the snake whilst you are at it, should look good with the concrete cows

Just seen this thread. I have many favourite members on TP who;s names I particuarlly look out for in posts & replys I learn so much from them ( alot of the names already mentioned ) BUT my favourite is "mobile virgin" . This man commented on my first portrait post when I had just started into photography & then submitted for me a tutorial in order that I may improve my shots . This kind assistance took me by surprise & i tell everyone about it . My portraits are still not very good ,but the eyes , are really good. colin

Tdodd is my fav because he always backs up his posts with lots of fact and detailed thought, never just an impulse reply.

I like grendel from the mod team most as he seems the most impartial.

I also like marcel because he keeps giving me amusing taglines

Also md because he went out of his way to help me one time with a present for my wife

If it wasn't for the site owners none of us would be friends and you would be top of the list. For quite a while it felt like you were attached to the place 24 hours a day! :)

I have several dozen people as friends on here now and just love the place. Whenever I have a camera problem there is always someone to help and the number of people that have come round to help or offered to is brilliant. I have tried to put back as much as I have taken from the site with my Apple tips, PS tips and the projects. Hope I have kept a balance :)

Thanks, I was thinking of doing an Apple 52 post next with 52 more in-depth things like say "networking with windows machines" as a once a week thing. I will probably wait till iLife11 is out though but might start actually writing them now.
