Who is your favourite Talk Photography member?

I have to give a few mentions..

1) Sawman (Charlie) for how he receives visitors and shows them "his" squirrels and all the birds. Its one thing knowing there are red squirrels up there but another entirely to know where to find them! Cheers, Charlie

2) Galaxy66 for all his behind the scenes help and advice with buying and selling, and his spiritual help when my puppy died, thanks, Mal.

3) Dark Star.....for being Dark Star.. an all round good guy! :)

Also I think the advice particularly from TDodd, HoppyUK, CT & others have really helped me and everyone else benefit from their knowledge so thanks guys and to others I have forgotten.

There are many on here that I owe so much to in the shortish time Ive been a member, especially those that regularly provide me with honest C&C in the birds, nature: wild and free and macro forums, but if I had to name names then it would be

tdodd (Tim) who goes above and beyond the call of duty when explaining stuff to a numpty like me

Les McLean who is always an inspiration by setting the bar so bloomin' high

Briony (Nicky) for being a caring, sharing person

Brachytron (Mark) who tells me as it is, good, bad or wrongly identified :p

(Now, those Jaffa Cakes you have.....;))

Sorry, did you say something?:lol::lol:

Not going to name names, but to all of you have helped in any way in improving my photography.........

I love everybody,
Those that pee me off, those that make me smile,
those that like my stuff and those that go the extra mile.

Without the help I've had on here I'd still be crap instead of slightly better than crap and its down to everyone who's critiqued and everyone who has criticised and everyone who has done a little bit more to not only help me improve but who have opened my eyes to all the different types and styles of photography.

I'd also like to thank my Mum and Dad, my wife, my lawyer and my accountant, my rabbit groomer and my rabbit groomers assistant, the man who walks passed the house everyday with his paper and most of all Spike Milligan.

Thank you and goodnight

Andy

Where would we all be without that well known typing error

Spine Milligna

I told you I was sick

There are 3 or 4 wedding togs on here whose work I truly admire and aspire to.

There is 1 wedding tog that I think is truly bad at what they do.

Amongst the rest is a nice healthy mix of styles, interests and abilities.

No names of course! :)

Gotta be Matt Sayle.... because if I big up Matt, maybe he'll come back because we all miss his enthusiasm!

The first person which springs to mind is Dark Star - he even forgave me when I called him Dark Side by accident! :D
But being serious though, he took me under his wings when I was new to TP a year ago. As well as being a great moderator, I've always thought of him as a decent guy.

Oh and a special mention goes to Marcel. Without him, TP wouldn't exist. :)

Did he go somewhere?

...and why?

I think he's too busy crashing cars LOL... actually, I think he became fed up of not getting any proper crit any more....

.... "the best photographic resource on the planet"...

Photography?! This is porn for me, mate, porn! Please don't ruin it for me :bat:

Did he go somewhere?

...and why?

Exactly, I thought he was just on Canon side of TP, and still posting 500 posts a day!

Has he posted any images of anything other than cars?

No, he is a motorsport fanatic, but that does'nt mean that he doesn't want crit... or at least a response....

He was still on here just over a week ago. EG has overtaken his post count now!

Dunno - I wouldn't crit your motorsport images any more than I'd crit Rovers-Andy's footie pix, or Hacker or Spaxx's Wedding pix - it's work - if it's good enough to go on the boards, then it's good enough...

For 'other stuff' then that's a different matter...

I got the impression he was selling the stuff - besides, what do I know about motorsport pix - I'll leave that to you. If it's in focus and well-exposed then it's good enough for publication, more or less, same as my grip 'n' grins and battle-pix - the subject matter ensures its uptake by the clients...

cowsaki for his wheels thread and what he did. Proper amazing to read that

smoothedit for the banter
ed gary for his studio updates and helpfulness
arkady for his no nosense "if its **** (poo) ill tell you its ****" (poo) approach
ashmashmash purely for his amazing water collisions :D

and there are many many many many more!!!

SUCH A GOOD PLACE...

... GROUP HUG!!!

Well, I wouldn't stick stuff up on a photography forum if I didn't want people to talk about them (postive or negative). Likely as not the ones you see are not the ones I've ever used for publication anyway!! What is needed for publication is a totally different ball game to what photography fans will want to see

Anyway, regardless of any of this, I would like Matt to come back

In no particular order; Hashcake, Fabs, Yvonne, Forbiddenbiker, Tdodd, Lester, Digital depot, Diddy dave, Fraggle 101, Hacker, Starrider . All met in the flesh and full of information, fun and madness! Rob

'Nice Capture' Kurt. I do miss that guy.

I've made so many really good friends through this forum I couldn't possibly list them all, but the ones who have helped me the most or I simply just bloody like are Ste Manns, HoppyUK, Marcus Geezer, Tomas Whitehouse and, um, actually loads of you.

...Even though I'm a grumpy-arsed argumentative git a lot of the time.

Indeed, though I think it was kirk, wasn`t it? And the pee taking he got from the mods and admin.................

Anyways I know who you mean.
