for the first time in my life i've not been able to finish a roast dinner, i'm devastated, gutted and annoyed at the same time!

had turkey with all the trimmings, been a stressfull couple of months for parents so they did the m+s ready turkey thing, with all the trimmings, bloody good!

Well, my quick beer at 1ish yesterday turned into a 12 hour session including 4 of us sneaking into Mass, followed by a Donar Kebab on the way home.

Best laid plans of today have kind of gone by the wayside, Mum couldn't make it through due to the roads and I was unable to drive due to the amount of beer consumed yesterday, still I did Christmas Dinner, Turkey crown from the butcher and all the veg off the market, mixed in with a couple of Stellas.

Didn't manage to get any shopping done yesterday aft so have now run out of toilet roll and also fags, have found some old 'backy though so should be able to whittle something up ! Had no dog food so made the pooch a nice mixture of Turkey, Chipolata with some mashed sprout turned in - she loved it !

Another bloody year sat on my lonesome, I always look forward to it then end up hating it :(

A donor kebab and a "few" pints in a 24 hour period equals a "burning ring of fire".good luck and get the babywipes ready.........

Ive still got an hour to wait for mine but we have a roast turkey with stuffing and all the trimmings, a whole stuffed suckling pig and christmas pud swiftly followed by multiple cases of beer and vodka, given to use by the ships chandler for free :D

So what's everyones else there having? :D

Actually it's nice to know there are others who wait until the evening to have their xmas dinner.

to quote spitting image "they'll have the same"

Nah its lunchtime over here, and im ravenous, they made us work this morning cleaning fuel tanks :gag:

Chicken and Lobster, different dishes, and there was Salmon and other veg too...

Just thinking about starting to cook. Nice piece of beef with all the usual trimmings. Quiet day today, just me and wife.

Second Christmas on Sunday when Son and Daughter and their partners and grandkids turn up - 10 in total. I'm cooking a five bird roast: Turkey stuffed with chicken, duck, pheasant and partridge. Better be good, my Son's a chef.

Left overs for the next two weeks!!!

Happy Christmas all.

We had the traditional Christmas dinner .......... it was the largest dinner I have ever sat down to, my belly is now comical the size and shape it is

We had a massive Turkey Crown from Morrisons, because the one we got from Tesco went off!!. Morrisons one was 3 times the size, and the same price!!!

Pigs in blankets, parsnips, carrots, crispy roast potatoes, sprouts, stuffing, bread sauce, cranberry sauce and gravy :D

Trad turkey dinner and plenty of £10 a bottle Asda Champers.

i had a tescos own, microwaveable chicken bhuna and bread, followed by a twix... :(

but when i got home i had a haggis with mash an gravy with half a bottle of jacobs creek merlot, on a lap tray while watching dr who xmas special.... merry christmas me!! and im on shift till sunday :(:dummy::razz:

We had a brunch of smoked mackeral and eggs, then dinner in the evening of gravidlax and dill sauce for starters, main course of slow roasted lamb and herbs, roast potatoes, mange tout, baby sweetorn, roast baby corgettes and sweet potato mash plus gravy and home made mint sauce, then finished off the food with Strawberries dipped in Green & Blacks plain chocolate with cream. All this was accompanied by a nice chilled bottle of Lanson :D

It was FAB!

Sweet and sour pork with veggies for starters. Main course was roast chicken, lamb and pork with mashed sweet potato, roast potatoes and veggies with gravy. Desert was Xmas pudding with brandy butter followed with coffee and dark chocolate mousse. Wow!

We had 13 of us here, my dad did a 14lb turkey crown, all the trimmings, christmas pud, chese and biscuits. All washed down with lashings of wine, port, coffee and then whiskey.

Fell asleep stuffed about 7pm!

Today we are doing it all again with the same people to celebrate my grandparents wedding anniversary, only we are having a massive roast beef joint, roast ham, and enough party food to sink a ship!

Christmas Eve we sat down to a boiled / roasted ham with mash and veg.

Christmas Day we had a haunch of venison (don't know what type it was unfortunately) with sausagemeat stuffing balls, roasties, a token quantity of veg (no sprouts though :() followed by home made lemon sorbet (although I added a dash of gin to it :) ) and then Chrismas Pudding (we left the home made ice cream in the freezer for another day as we were all too stuffed)

Today is a day of rest and topping up the alcohol - tomorrow we do it all again but this time with Lamb.

we had a Mexican themed day with home-made chilli, salsa and somberos and stuff

our friend Dans birthday is on Christmas day so we banned christmas and went for the opposite of the usual (Mexican is what we came up with!)

he had a pinyata and loads of boys toys (including a very annoying remote controlled helicopter)

we ate loads and made Dan feel special

it was his first birthday party :) He has spent 25 years being totally outshone by that Roman fellow and we just wanted to show him a good day :)

it was fab, though i am looking forward to next christmas as it will be our first as a three :)

I hope i have a girl or its just going to be all boy toys again!

xxx
