Who has a DSLR & a Mirrorless System?

Erm....I haven't. I'm comparing a 50mm 1.8 against a 60mm 2.4. Which lenses of 1.2/1.4 did I mention in the above comparison?
The 50mm 1.8 is £210 cheaper than the slower fuji 60mm 2.4.

I know the fuji lenses are 'nicer' and better built, but my point is, to get a prime lens of a similar focal distance, a fuji owner has to pay a lot more than a canon/nikon owner.

You were originally talking about the other primes. But I could say that to get a canikon 35mm 1.4 you'd be looking at more than 300 quid. The 60mm is a macro, it's not the same thing as a plastic fantastic 50 1.8. You were saying the fuji lenses cost more, well don't compare apples with oranges, if all you're looking at is focal length then yes, you could probably find a cheaper lens.
 
The only thing I was comparing was the price of the lenses of a similar focal length.
But your right, of course the equivalent nikon Canon lenses are similar and expensive, but they do have cheaper versions. Fuji don't. Therefore you need to spend more using the fuji system if you want a 35 mm, 50 mm etc prime.

Enough said.
 
I've given up and sold my Nikon 24-70, 70-200 and have the equivalent from MFT. Quality and focus speed is comparable in a much much much smaller package.

However don't expect it to be any cheaper for quality lenses.

Suits my style much better. My Olympus PEN E-P5 is very versatile and super small. Loving it.

But these are all things you should factor in before choosing a system anyway aren't they?

In the right environment granted, but outside of ideal scenarios I'd have to disagree. My D750 is so much more reliant and noticeably faster in AF than my EM10 was, and my current EM5-II is. Plus with AF-C there's just no comparison. Whilst the M4/3 are incredible systems and can give great IQ, a match for high end DSLR's they're not imo. I'm certainly not ready to give up my DSLR for it anyway, but it does make a truly superb package for when I don't want to be lugging around heavy gear.
Out of interest which equivalent lenses do you have that are comparable to the 24-70 and 70-200mm as I'd be interested in these? I have the 12-40mm f2.8 pro and whilst a very very nice lens, a match for those 2 nikkors on FF it isn't imo, not if you want to shoot wide open anyway.
 
Another DSLR + x100 here.

I found my 5D2 too big and heavy for anything that involves a full day of out and about (eg. being tourists, hanging out with friends, anything not a proper photography outing). Since getting my x100, I've used my 5D2 less and less.

It's now at the stage I feel I should sell my whole Canon kit and save the money. Only thing stopping me is the resale value being lower than what I'd have liked. But fully buy into interchangeable mirrorless? Now is still not the right time......... yet

.... but you're getting a better lens for more money. If FL was the only consideration along with price per mm everyone would be using bridge cameras.

I've got the Panasonic versions (12-35 & 35-100 f2.8( I bought them before Olympus came to the party. Very very good wide open. Just like on Nikon my go to lenses. Although on the short end I prefer my 17mm f1.8, that thing is so quick.

Definitely works equal for my style of shooting.

Absolutley they are, which I did when I brought into the Fuji system. I wasn't complaining about the price of these excellent lenses, I was just trying to say that if you buy into the Fuji system then be prepared to pay more for the lenses as the only ones available are premiums and these cost more.

Mate, I know that, and have said that all along. The only point I was trying to make is that all fuji lenses are a lot more money (due to thier premium quality), so if someone was buying into the system then be prepared to pay more.
 
I have Canon DSLR set-ups (a lot of them by the way), and then a Sony a5000 kit (16-50 & 55-210). Use them both just as much depending on the situation.

The MFT field is a bit different as there are lots of 'cheap' lenses about as well. Although having been through that on the dSLR side of things and ending up with two out of three of the holy trinity of lenses after making many 'mistakes' with the cheaper 'equivalents' I decided to just skip that stage and go straight for the top...I don't regret that at all, but it just highlights that any such decisions aren't made about price/cost/value. It is the good old fashioned applicability for the job regarding handling and quality...
