whitening eyes

I have had a request to remove some redness in the whites of a ladies right eye. It looks like she has a bit of conjunctivitis or has been poked in the eye.

She has asked if I can edit the whites to match the left eye.

Now I have tried a bit of cloning but to be honest I'm pretty useless at this sort of thing. I'm sure there is a simpler way to do the editing.

Any advice or suggestions please

Without seeing the pic its a bit hard to give any sensible advice. From what you've said, I'd be inclined to try a selection, use Hue/Saturation and try to reduce the reds.

From what you have said I would use a similar approach to whitening teeth except you will need to brighten the reds.

Select the other eye and flip it over, lower the opacity to make it easier to see your getting it lined up then blend in the edges with a layer mask.
