White vinyl or paper cheap Source?

Hopefully exchanging on the house tomorrow, which means in a couple weeks we should be able to pick up the keys and finally get into the new house.

The top floor will be turned into a 14'x23' studio which side room for storage and dressing etc.

The plan should be to get a wall mount to save a little space so I need to find those at a decent price.

However right now im trying to find a decent cheap place to get white paper or vinyl. Ive found 2mx6m on ebay for just less than £80.

Paper might be cheaper though but a decent source would be good. I might prefer paper in the end.

Im also on the look out for cheap grey and brown paper.

Bessel is quite reasonable for their vinyl, and it's very good quality....
 
colorama are great too and have more size options.
 
Grebby, I take it you mean the roll-up style wall brackets and tubes? I know of a place that does them down here, all metal contstruction etc to support vinyl. Brackets are about £60 a pair I think, and complete 3m tubes (with reel, brake, clutch etc) are about £75 each. Can PM you the site if you wish? (Don't want to fall foul of any rules)

Cool, the company is called LuxS (previously Studio Decor) and the backgound management system is called the 'standard chain system' and is here. Prices are in a PDF, link in the nav bar at the top :) And John, the owner, is a cracking chap too. The page lists the poles as being 2.7m, but there are prices for 3m tubes in the price list.

I don't own the system, but I've used his rental studio which has 2 of the systems fitteed, one for smaller BGs and one that has a full 3x6 vinyl on it. The only thing he advises is that with a large vinyl you should put a small hook in the wall to hook the chain onto as the brake, while pretty good, would benefit from a 'back-up'. This is the system I'm looking at for if I get out (of the army) and set up my own studio.

He also does ceiling pantograph lighting supports :naughty:

I have never used vinyl but I would say if you plan on using white all the time then vinyl might be the way to go, as the paper does need replacing quite regularly. I use paper because I like to change colours round but I have been thinking about getting vinyl to put up semi-permanently and then just roll colours down over it when I want to change.

Can you be more specific as to what you've tried from them?

I've got a sample of their white vinyl here which is twice the price of Bessel's vinyl, but also twice the thickness/quality.
