Hi Guys

i'm new here, I have just started a photography portrait business and currently use a curtain with lights flashing approx 1.5 m from the curtain, it gets a great background but my flooring is rubbish, I currently use a big bedsheet thing which is off white so get horrendous colouration (see my profile pic to see what I mean!). Am thinking of going for a white vinyl backdrop on a pole on my ceiling and using it for the backdrop and floor - does anyone have any pros/cons for this? I'm concerned about reflection/bounce from the flashes - I use a softbox flash for the main light and standard cheap flashes for the backlighting.

My website is www.emmaparkerphotography.co.uk if anyone is interested!

Thanks.

Hiya, Jusr wanted to say that I have looked at your photographs and they are beautiful. I too am looking at buying the vinyl background, i'm going to buy some this week as soon as another company has sent me a sample. I have one from colorama but i'm getting another sample so I can compare. After that i'll get back to you and let you know how its goes.

Friend of mine does them 5 days aweek. Turning between a 1k to 2.5k a day.

He shoots 85 nurseries and takes the rest of the year off

That sounds like a hell of a turnover, does your friend have a website, would love to see his work.
