Yes
I ordered a Nikon 18-55mm VR lens from Hdew. It arrived today in a white box but has no manuals or even a warranty inside. Is that how it normally comes?

Yes sounds like it was split from a body and lens kit - drop them an email or phone tomorrow to make sure

Yes I did contact them yesterday and was told it was split from a body. But was a little worried because it didn't have even a warranty inside. The 50mm prime that I ordered along with it had everything in it. But I do have the receipt for both. This is my first time ordering from hdew, so just making sure. I don't have to worry, do I?

No no need to worry. Your receipt is your evidence of purchase should you have any issues / problems.

Email them again and ask if you can have a written warranty. I don't think you have any cause for concern though - only good things have been said here about HDEW.

With Canon, you can register the lens with them using the ID number on the lens and that will usually suffice for warranty. Can you do the same with Nikon?
