White border for printing

Hi All,

I'm wanting to add a white border to a photo that I need to print and frame. It's for a charity exhibition and I've never done anything like it and wondered if someone would be able to point me in the right direction? Below is the photo I am going to print, and what I hope to do is add a white border to the entire image, but have a larger space at the bottom where I can add a title (in photoshop?) and sign the bottom corner.

I'm going to pick up a frame later today, so and help would be hugely appreciated!

Just increase the canvas size. You have 9 squares, place your x in the middle and it should increase all the boards, adjust to the size you require, then if you want to increase one side move the X. Have a play

Another quick question.

What do people think about the finish for this kind of photo? It's going to be about A3 size when printed but having rarely printed, I'm not sure if I should go with glossy or matte?

What are people's thoughts for this kind of image?

Personally I would go with a hi gloss paper.

As an alternative, the Mogrify plugin for Lightroom is also very useful for adding borders.

With that particular subject I'd go with a metallic paper or a high gloss art paper.
