Ok, It's the wrong forum, but hey ho.. cannot be arsed with the diva's in other fora.......

Basically, is there anyway, I can alter the WB of a jpeg? Have CS6 under a teachers license.
 
Yes. You can process JPGs in pretty much the same way you process RAW files.
 
You get a colour slider and tint slider if opened as camera raw. You don't have as much latitude as a raw file.
 
Very worse case scenario, if for any reason you don't have access to Camera RAW [and you should even on a teachers licence] use the colour balance sliders under image adjustment, or apply the opposing photo filter [cooling, warming, etc], adjust hue and saturation... any of those CS inbuilt tools [and I am sure several others] can change the WB on any file type.
