Hello,

I just bought the 'Digital Grey Kard' product, comprising of a grey, white and black card.

The grey card works very well, but the documentation does not make it very clear as to what the white and black cards should be used for.

Also, I take it you should use the AWB setting when shooting the grey card (probably a very stupid question!)?

And one more thing, is it really necessary to fill the whole screen with the grey image, or can it just be centered, allowing me to see where the image was taken.

Thanks.

Rishy.

To me I shoot in RAW so I would take a photo will all three in at the start of a shoot.
When working on them I set the white, black and mid grey points to get the max out of the images and then past the setting over all the shots taken in the same light
If you shoot in jpg you can set the WB with a custom shot of the white card in camera.
