Agreed.....it may be a time of joy for many, but it's certainly a time of unhappiness for some.
 
A friend of mine was just diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of weeks ago. She will be in my thoughts a lot over this holiday period.

Its certainly a difficult time for all those who have lost loved ones this year. That first Christmas is really difficult, My thoughts go out to them.

To all of you on here I wish you a very Happy Christmas and a New Year filled with love and fulfilment.
 
absolutely, cousin aged 21 didn't do anything about an anomoly down stairs, 12 months later he has 8 secondary cancers, primary being testicular, started chemo TODAY!!

friend has had his foot amputated just above the ankle, IED in afgahn, although is in mighty fine spirits with a 'hey, i'm not dead and i've only lost a foot, look at the bloke next to me in here (sellyoke) with 1 arm and no sight' attitude

certainly puts things into perspective
