Yes
just noticed a used mint sigma 17-70 2.8-4 os hsm at a great price £199 or the 24-70 2.8 (non hsm version approx £100 more), its one or the other (made a decision) your thoughts appreciated

I'll throw a Tamron 17 - 50 2.8 in the mix for you. £200 used. Sharpest lens I've ever owned...I really can't fault it.

For ME (as a lover of wide angles), it would be the 17-70, especially on a crop body.

Only chopped my 24-70 Sigma (same version as the one you're considering) in towards a 24-120 f/4 VR for the extra range and VR - very happy with the IQ from my copy of the 24-70.

I too have a Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 ( Sony Fit Obviously) and the IQ is spot on

Les

Yes it's just the 2.8 through the range that's stopping me buying the 2.8-4 oh dear decisions decisions lol
