Which way around do you do it? ...

I read your comment :D
I did the same with the tread just to put my two penneth worth in!
I read yours as well, because it was just above mine! Agree with cack handed, manky method! I do tea bag, boiling water, assist brew with spoon, tea bag out, add milk sugar as desired.

Who'd have thought there was such an art to stirring hot drinks?
Something we do everyday and probably not even give it a second thought,
until some arse questions the methodology :D

Right handed and stir anti-clockwise, feels like more resistance in my wrist going clockwise now I've tried it.:)

Depends which hemisphere I'm in. Right handed and clockwise in Blighty. Right handed and anti-clockwise in Australia and NZ.

Well - I've just surprised myself

Coffee stirring - clockwise

pan stirring - clockwise AND anti-clockwise [ I was making scrambled eggs ]

OH and I'm right handed :)

Translation please :p

Sorry, my husband and I are in the habit of using deosil and widdershins instead of clockwise and anti-clockwise. I am not sure if it is because they are nicer-sounding, more interesting words, or if we are just contrary. Judging by my tea-stirring habits, probably the latter!

I did google after my post and I see they are Gaelic / Pagan / Wiccan words

Have spent the last day trying to sort this out. But as I am conscious that I am doing It I find I am hesitating and then doing it clockwise for one cup and anticlockwise the next time. That maybe what I normally do.

God, First world problems. :)

Right handed, anti clockwise.

Clockwise is weird. The bowl of the spoon would have to be held backwards. Unless you stir towards the back of the spoon, and that's weirder.
right handed and clockwise. i find it easier to stir "backwards" by your description, as in I use the "back" of the spoon to stir, which helps displace the tea/coffee/fluid because of fluidmechancis :P

I do it both ways
I think its best if you start your own thread ....
Oh I see, still stirring tea and coffee, as you were

:D

Right handed, counter clockwise when I'm in the northern hemisphere and clockwise in the southern hemisphere to take advantage of the coriolis effect. ;)
