I've got an ancient Wacom graphire 3. It comes with a mouse that works on the tablet. The mouse is playing up again. I've now had about 3 and they all die the same - the select button becomes unresponsive so it becomes completely unusable. First mouse lasted a few years and each replacement seems to last less and less time. I replaced the mouse yet again, it's been ok for about 9 months now it's crap again. The wacom drivers aren't brilliant either and I'm using some intended for lion, on mavericks... I don't think this helps either. Lately it's been awful and I'm ready to hurl the mouse out of the window after stamping on it. The select button just does nothing half the time. Short press, long press. Then it will work fine for a bit. Then it'll be dreadful again.
I need another that does the same but I'm lost in all the different models there are now. I don't want models that need batteries. Just a normal wired graphics pad with a cordless pen and cordless mouse with scroll wheel.
Most of the time I use the mouse. I suspect they're geared to be the opposite as most people would use them pen and hardly use the tablet.
I was wondering about the touch pad style ones but I'm not sure I want a gesture based system on a desktop as it is a bit weird...
Tablet needs to be no bigger than 10 inches wide as otherwise it won't fit on the desk properly with all the other junk I have
Which one do I want?! This wacom tablet has lasted since 2005 so that's why I'm considering another. It's just a shame their replacement mice are a heap of crap. Are there any after market mice you can use with the same tablet?
