hey guys, iv currently got the manfrotto 785b tripod, which was ideal for my d40 but now iv got the d90 im finding it a little less stable (due to weight)

just wondering what you guys would suggest, i want something thats relatively light, more importantly can be collapsed quite small, but can give good height and low useability

Current one i have is 54" approx on full, collapses to aroun 18" and can be used at around 8" off the floor

Looking for it to be relatively cheap but im open to ideas

Thanks

prices and link please, interested as well

Benro looks very good indeed. Chinese copies of Gitzo and Arca heads at less than half price. Quality reported to be every bit as good. I just ordered a head last weekend.

http://www.photopal.co.uk/ Even cheaper if you buy from the US via Ebay.

The 190XPROB is actually cheaper through Morrisphoto's ebay store. Ok only by 97p, but it is cheaper!

Giottos 9351b and head from jessops £99.99 excellent tripod does macro shots so u can nice and low and central column goes sideways!

another thumbs up to the Snapper, mines with a pan head holding a 40D and no issues, bit heavy but sturdy - comes with a nice bag also

Redsnapper from Joe on here - PM him after you've ordered and you'll get 10% TP discount back.

I recently bought the 4 section tripod and basic head and I'm very please with it. Was £65 all in. :)

Sorry for hijacking the thread but where do you buy these Redsnapper Tripods ? and what is the model in question.
