I'm looking to buy a studio pack system, but I've ended up in a bit of a muddle as to what to go for.

I shoot people - so a relatively fast recycle time and pretty fast flash duration are both useful to me. The main thing however is adjustability, looking for a system that allows me to adjust at 1/4 stop increments minimum..

Budget wise looking to spend under 3k, and for this would like a pack and 2/3 heads second hand. I was considering Profoto Acute, but recently it has come to my attention that some of the Broncolor offerings are pretty good, maybe a second hand Verso or Senso system? However I'm having a lot of trouble tracking these down in the UK.

If any of you have any words of wisdom or any information about Broncolor systems I'd love to hear them!

Do you really need the power of mains powered flash systems?
If you feel that you do, then I suggest either the Profoto Acute or one of the Elinchrom ones, all of which are excellent.

Personally, I feel that the Bron ones are a poor choice.

Yes, 1200W over 3 heads is quite sparse as it is so anything less would cause some problems for me.

I have been seriously considering the Profoto acute pack but the Senso looked like a pretty serious competitor. May I ask why you don't think that the Bron ones would be a good choice?

No, but I've replied by PM
