My sister in law is going to South Africa and wants to take all her photos with 1 camera and does not want to change lenses. She will be taking photos of wild life and scenery architecture etc. She is not conversant with camera settings and will shoot on auto.
Is there a camera I could recommend to her which would be anything like acceptable for her purpose (she seems to want to zoom from 17-350 to me and I would feel a choice of lenses quite esential.
Maybe one of the fixed lens bridge cameras ??
Please help if you can.

Maybe not even bridge if she's going to shoot on Auto, why not look at one of the Fuji S series? My wife has an S1000fd and it's very good. Small, compact and with plenty of range.

I have the Canon SX10 IS and have found it to be an excellent camera. I use it as a walk around when i don't want to lug the SLR and loads of lenses around.
It also has a very good range , and i would recommend it to you.

Canon 1000d with a Tamron 18-270? Could work out quite costly though
Maybe just a Tamron 18-200
