Off back to pick up my free bag from Jessops tomorrow as they had to put it on back order, and I get any memory card halve price and I would also like to purchase a tripod, which can be used for table top kind of things, but also be a little tall aswell, telescopic. Any reccomendations?

SD cards seems a little confuzzing, especially all San Disk's new extreme range, whats the difference between the Ultra II & the Extreme III ranges? Are they worth the extra 10/20 quid from the normal San Disk SD card.

Any help much appreciated.

Bump, need help before tomorrow.

Err, Jessops "half price" cards are still quite a considerable bit more than the same cards from 7dayshop. When I had my D80 I just used 7day's "unbranded" cards, which usually turned out to be Toshiba, which they are currently selling, branded, for £4.39 for a 2gb card.

For a comparison, an 2gb Sandisk Extreme III is £10.99 from 7dayshop and £31.99 from Jessops, so even with the "generous" offer they are giving you it's still nearly 60% more expensive!

Edit....

If you can swing it, I'd try and get them to give you a discount off a decent (not Jessops own brand!) tripod instead...

Even though they are 1/2 price check out some of the competition for the memory....

I suppose I can go anywhere for SD card & tripod along as it's in Huddersfield, just the incentive that the card is halve price, but compared to Staples £10 san disk 2GB pretty pricey.

If you were closer and didn't need it so quickly I could have given you one, I have piles of 1gb SD cards and only the G9 now that uses them, whereas before all my cameras did.

I'll take them! :)

I always go for sandisk extreme 3, have tried others and to be honest dont see any difference, just go for these as more of a reliability issue, couldnt think of much worse than to have some great photos and loose them on a cheap card failing, just peace of mind for the little extra I pay.
