which remote?

It could just be me but i had line of sight issues with the ml l3 i had to be almost in front of the camera for it to work, personally i'd go with the cable.

You could by both off ebay for the price of either. Personally I would have and do have both cabled and wireless remotes. They both have advantages and disadvantages and are quite cheap.

thanks guys:)
cant find a nikon cable remote on ebay atm but will take your advice and get both:)

I have the wireless one of those and it's ok for reach etc - but probably less accurate at a distance than wired. I'd pick up a 2nd hand one though.

If you want extra functions such as photos every 30 seconds automatically, you need a timer one.

Spot on, Darren...!

Meike do good aftermarket products, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Meike-Remote-...raphy_DigitalCamAccess_RL&hash=item4aa43bb401 is their version of the corded remote

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ML-L3-MLL3-Wi...ns_caps_hoods_adaptors_ET&hash=item336089dbe2 vis a ML-L3 wireless remote from the same seller.

Both are below a fiver, each. So to get the pair you'd be spending less than £10

PH, i have an ML-L3 copy off Ebay and its great. Heres a quote from a few pages back as someone else asked the same question....

I have the ML-L3 (albeit a copy) but its excellent and only £3.70! I paid £3 but its went up a tad in price.
Heres the link to the one i have.

Now as we speak im doing a little test for you...... the shutter can be triggered from behind but only from approx 45 degrees. It works from right behind upto 3 metres away at which point i ran out of living room. Ive took about 30 shots so it wasnt a fluke.
Hope this helps, Phil

thanks Phil;) i was looking at the non nikon jobbys but wasnt sure if they were any good or not. thanks for that mate;)
i will be looking for a cheapish flash unit soon aswell, just the basic one to start off with then i'll move up if its needed.
