which do you have, then what charger do you go for?

Another vote for Eneloops here. Hold their charge well if not used for a while.

Think I got mine from Amazon or Play.

are Eneloops the brand name?

just looked.. Sanyo make them.

is it best to go for the larger mAh power output, as these last longer on running time?

I have some Camlink Omega batteries which came with a charger, a 2700ma set and a 2500ma set. Ive been happy with the performance of them. the 2700 set managed all day when i used them at a wedding and i only noticed the recycle time dropping at the very end of the day

this is a link to the ones i have- and for the price their fab!!

they do 1350 mah aaa batteries aswell as 3000 mah aa and do multiple colours, so ive got them in red, yellow, green, blue, orange, and purple in aa and aaa.... i rotate them so i know which ones i need to charge.....

the charger i use is a 7 day shop own brand model 808lcd (4 battery charger and reconditioner) cheap also...

I've got about 10 sets of 7DayShop's own brand and they last ages. They keep their charge very well if not used and I got around 150 extra shots from a set of them than I did with a set of Duracell AA's. Great price too.

Another vote for 7dayshop ownbrand- I've got the 2500mAH ones but they have higher capacity ones now.

I also picked up a camlink lambda charger- 10-15 mins to recharge 4AA's and comes with a cord for charging from car as well as mains power.

that's well cheaper than the others, what's the catch?

does any rechargeable charger work with them then?

yes..... have numerous of the batteries for my camera stuff and throughout the house- never had any probs- you can use any charger for them

They are just a form of rechargeable battery technology. The same technology is found under different brand names but Sanyo are the most well known - Eneloops are great.

I've been using 7Dayshop 2900's for about 8 months now and they are failing big time. I have about 20 of them and when I first got them they were awesome. Now fully charged I am getting constant problems with very poor recycling times until I start swapping them about. A few of them must be on the way out :(

Eneloops for me now I reckon.
