Ok i have a few baby shoots coming up soon with newborns up to 4-5 months old, ive brought some pixie/elf hats, a few wicker baskets, couple of baby hammocks, faux basket liners and a baby snuggle pod, is there anything else you would recommend for this type of photography, any other props to consider???

Thanks Andy...

sheepskin rugs? They do them in different colours in Ikea.

Try not to go overboard on the props - I sell more photos of naked babies on a white fluffy blanket than anything else! Also remember to get close-ups of the little details like eye lashes, fingers and toes.

Speaking as someone who doesn't do baby photography, I guess it's a question of personal taste, but I think props can look pretty naff and the pictures can become dated quite quickly. There's a photographer in my neck of the woods who always has babies sticking out of a drawer, which just looks silly! BooBear's approach is better all round, IMHO.
