Yes
Apologies if this has come up a lot in the past, had a quick look but couldn't find anything similar..!

I've basically played around with off camera flash for a couple of years now and would like to take this work outside battling the sun light. What's the best kit to get me started which can overpower the sun? I don't care for things like TTL - I'll be working in full manual. :)

Thanks a lot!

Godox AD600 if I was starting out right now.

I think Essential photo have a branded version if you want a warranty.

That'll give the option of HSS, even without the TTL version.

If you want to spend more there's lots of options. Topping out at the Profoto

What Phil said.
I've just got one from essential photo (pixapro) at the moment they are including a free trigger and octobox, they are also doing the remote head for £60 if purchased at the same time.

If you want something that's simple powerful and rugged, then you may want to take a look at our Safari 2 kit, available in both 600Ws and 1200Ws versions - which are basically the same thing, i.e. the 1200 is 2x600's working together

Hi Mark (@cowboy), looks like its a good deal! When did you buy your cit600 in Essential photo? I had a look on their site and they dont offer anymore free trigger, only the free octobox.

Yes. The other good thing about Godox is you can use the same remote control and triggering system for everything, from speedlites, through mains studio flash, and portable/battery

I got it last week, it's gone up by £20 for the ttl one as well.

Oh that's a shame! Have you used your Citi600 TTL? How low really is the modelling light? Been reading reviews that the modelling light is not that powerful.

I've only had the modelling light on to see that it works, it seems as bright as the modelling light on my studio heads though.
