Hi guys,

I need to buy a 77mm polariser filter for a lens I am about to purchase for car photography.

Which ones do you recommend? I did have one for another lens I am part exchanging but its 72mm

Thanks,
Beav

Hoya HD here - I also have a Kenko one (which is essentially a Hoya HD for the Japanese market)

Hoya HD is OK. It is worth the extra over Pro1 CPL which has super fragile coatings.

If you have any 82mm lens buy that size. I use step ring for 77mm lens.

Check ebay to save ££.

Generally I find Marumi to be a step up from Hoya, link below;

By the way, if the car has tinted side windows you might get a weird diamond shape effect on the glass using a CPL, it seems to depend on the type of tint. I have colleagues who use other brands and we have all experienced the same effect with some side car windows.

This is worth a read;

I’ve just picked up a 77mm CPL by Gobe filters. Well made and a great price too!
