I'm desperately wanting to get into macro photography, but i'm undecided on what to buy. Originally i'd thought about the 'tamron SP 90mm Macro' but i think at the price that it is, that'll be a lens after xmas.

I've also been looking at:

A used 'sigma 90mm Macro' at £135+ (but i'd rather buy a lens new)

'Kenko tube extensions' at £85 (which are on sale on here)

OR a 'Raynox DCR-250' conversion lens.

The following picture is exactly the sort of range i'm looking for, which was taken with a 'Minolta 75-300mm' with the 'Raynox DCR-250'. I currently have the 'minolta 75-300mm' but i've never had any experience with 'Raynox'.

Thats a good deal.

Anyone had any experience with the raynox?

Just done a quick search for Raynox and found this. If you search again you'll probably find plenty more, I believe a few people have the Raynox stuff.

Cheers Pal. Just what i was after. The quality of the Raynox looks pretty good, should work nicely with my 75-300.

The Raynox stuff does seem like a miracle kit, especially at the prices you can get them for. It'll be something I'll add to my kit one day, not just yet though as I'm not into the whole macro thing lol

Yeah i've seen some amazing shots with them. Just ordered mine. Pics coming shortly.
