Hi all, this weekend i am going to a motobike race and want to get some good pictures. I am only a beginner my camera is a fujifilm fine pix s8000fd
which mode should i use sport,ect...i want nice clear images and nice blury ones to show the movenent. these bikes are going 200mph + so you have to move with the image.please help which mode.. thanks

which circuit? is it your first time shooting motorsport. I would try shutter priority and start @ 1/500 it will get you a crisp shot and give you some confidence to try a slower speed for motion blur. Smooth panning is important as well.

thanks for that. what mode do you mean to use the 1/500 shutter speed on. sport? the circuit is the north west 200 in N ireland thanks

Just had a look at your camera. On the top of you body you have a wheel to control which mode you are in. If you turn it to S you will be in shutter priority, you will need to read you manual to find out which button will then allow you to adjust the shutter speed. If you choose a long fast section you will struggle for you first time, better to be near the exit of a corner where speed will be lower. A fast shutter speed will give you shots with very little motion blur, as you slow the shutter speed down you will increase background and wheel blur.

One of my first attempts with a bridge camera at Mallory 2005 @ 1/250s just out of a right hander so speed not too high.
