which one should I choose

Which do you like best, note the word "you". :)

Welcome to TP.

both of them can meet my needs.
and i just want to konw which one is better.

Better is a highly subjective thing, what is better for me may not be better for you.

If both will meet your needs then go for whichever is cheaper.

As Ned says better for one person is not always better for another. Only you can decide which is best for you.

i can't see a reason not to go for the 6d - doesn't it have al the benefits of the 5d but without the incredibly slow focus capability

its going to be a while before anyone can really say what the 6d is like
at the moment to all guess work based on the spec sheet ,
so i guess if you need one now it has to be the 5dmk11 as its the only one avalible!!

Go for the black one!!

Until the 6D is out there and being used then this is pretty well impossible to answer.

If you're prepared to wait until the 6D is released then wait and re-investigate then. If you're not then, as Nik said, the decision has been made for you.

Unless of course smaller size, built in GPS and wireless matter to you above all else then it's a case of exercising patience.

I mean the comprehensive function which better, such as fous capability.

Compare the specification sheets for both, probably available on Canon's website and see which one has the specs you need. Then, before you buy, have a feel of them both to see which bast fits your hand and if you're already used to a particular layout of buttons, which is the same. Having used a bricks and mortar shop to fondle the bodies, please buy it from them rather than waltzing out saying "I can get it for £X on the web.". You never know when you'll need a specialist camera shop and acting as showrooms for internet sellers isn't how they make their money!

that sort of assumes you a) have a specialist camera shop in your region and b) that if you do they have all the models you want to compare.

That is why I buy from Internet sellers...

Yes, iy does but if you don't have a decent camera shop locally, you're not going to use them as a showroom and fondling place, are you?;)

If you are looking at getting a new 6D then you might be better off saving a bit extra and getting an import 5D3 from Hdew cameras. They are selling them at just over £2000 now and it looks like the 6D will come out at around £1800. The 5D3 might not have the wireless and gps function but you do get a hell of a camera.

I was actually referring to the comment "Then, before you buy, have a feel of them both to see which bast fits your hand and if you're already used to a particular layout of buttons, which is the same"

Agree the best thing to do is try out the cameras and compare but if you don't live in a major city then you would probably be struggling to find a shop that actually stocks the cameras you want to feel up. Vicious circle really as the smaller physical shops won't be able to stock everything as their margins are lower due to all the online competition taking sales away. And then of course you have shops that don't even deserve to be still running but that is a different matter...
