Which one is best

Which photo editing software is better, Affinity photo versus Luminar/Skylum. Reviews on line seem fairly even, if anyone has experience of either any feedback would be much appreciated. I have just started shooting in raw but my pp skills are not great. I've tried nikons own raw software but didn't seem very good or easy to use.I don't want a monthly subscription and these two seem reasonably priced.Many thanks

I know AP but not the other one… can't compare, really
but quite happy with AP!

Affinity Photo is excellent, but replaces Photoshop rather than Lightroom. For raw processing I actually rather like Nikon's Capture NX-D (well, the output and the interface - speed is not its strong point!).

Edit: Skylum claim that they'll be adding a DAM tool to Luminar (to compete with Lightroom) some time this year. Affinity have expressed an interest in a DAM application, but if it happens it won't be for some time (after they've finished Publisher).
