New to the forum but not to photography, anyhow my question is for scenery pic's what's you best months for getting out, mine are October, Feb & March, not so keen on summer months.
You might want to ask why.??? but would like your views first.

Hello and welcome. There is always something different in the time and position of sunrise and sunset, day length, angle of the sun, weather, vegetation that every month has something to offer. I don't really have best months.

I really struggle when it is hot so tend to prefer the colder months, and a good frost or snow is great for photos, but summer is also excellent as the early sunrises give a lot of good light while it is still quiet.

Autumn and Spring in that order, because of the quality of the light and the colours. Prefer Winter to Summer. Flies, midges and clegs in Summer are a pest.

September to May - fewer tourists around. Not only for photography but also for visiting any of the many relatively local spots.

Every season, every month, every day - all are capable of yielding good pictures - it all depends on you.

I agree but purely on a personal note I prefer spring, autumn and winter as I don't enjoy having to get up at 2am to be on site for a sunrise at this time of year! Similarly if I shoot a sunrise then it is a long wait till sunset whereas September to April both in a day is no issue.

Up till about the end of March I can leave home in York at 4am, be over to the Lake District for sunrise, then back over to work in Malton by 9am
