which monopod

i need a monopod (no i dont i just want one)
anyway read about the usual suspects manfrotto etc, but what about redsnapper are they any good ?

Redsnapper stuff is good quality. I have a Redsnapper tripod and its excellent. I've also got a bag from them too (not that that's really on the point) and it too is very good.

I'm poorer than Stuart, so I've only got the Manfrotto 680B (about £40-45), it's very good, but whatever you do do not buy one of those "cheap" Jessops or similar monopods for £20-30, you can get Manfrotto and other decent makes for the same money...

Thanks for the advice guys expected to pay around the 50 quid may have to up it a bit so i can get a good head to go with it.

i am also after a monopod, will be holding a 1D mkIII and a 120-300mm sigma, so will be about 3.5kg. Any you know upto the job?
