As I'm about to start printing with a lab I thought it about time I invested in a monitor calibration tool. But which one?

The Spyder 5 seems to get good reviews, is this good choice? If it is then which model would you recommend? If not what would you recommend?

Thanks.

I have the Xrite ColorMunki. I have been happy with this. Mine is not one of the latest versions but it calibrates my three monitor display well. There are different models on offer from about £90 to over £300. Worth doing your research into the one that fits your budget.

There are a lot on he market with a wide variety of prices. I personally use the X-Rite i1display, but there are others. Have a look at the ColorMunki Smile. at below £70 it looks good value. Not tried it myself so I can't comment. Provided it lets you set colour temp, brightness and gamma I can't see it not being good value for money

I had a spyder4pro but was not happy with it, have moved across to i1 display pro and happy with the calibration on my dell 2209wa.

I recently bought the X-Rite i1display after buying a new LED monitor. The new monitor colours looks great, but the older Samsung T240 doesn't. It's quite irritating that they don't match.

I've got the Spyder 4, I'm sure the 5 model is an improvement. Good enough for my needs.

Sorry what OS are you using, I am on OSX and should have said I had issues with the Spyder4Pro.

Thanks

Cool, it worked fine in win 7. Just check which ever you go for supports win 10.
