Sorry if this has been done before but just out of curiosity which digital photography mags do you all read?

Digital Photo and sometimes Practical Photography and even more infrequently Photography Monthly

just subscribed to photoplus, first one should be here at the end of the month...have read digital photo in the past but not regularly.

I think I've bought and read most of them over the last year. I currently have two subscriptions, both gifts, one for Digital SLR Photograpy and the other for Photoplus. Like Dellipher, I also pick up Digital Photo most months as they have good photoshop tutorials and project ideas, etc.

Digital Photo here. :) I feel a change coming on soon as it is getting a little repetitive now.

Completely unrelated, Xbox 360 and Total Film magazines ;)

But more seriously, and more topic related, which one would you guys consider to be the best? Can never have enough magazine subscriptions :p

Digital Camera and amateur Photographer

I hate "photography magazines. I used to love Photography Monthly but unfortunately the transformation into "Will Cheung Monthly" is now complete and don't buy it anymore.

I don't like the endless reviews of equipment I have no interest in, I don't want to spend hours working in Photoshop and don't want to use tobacco grad filters. I just want to take photos to the best of my ability, download them to the computer and print them.

However, I do buy Photoicon and sometimes B&W magazine as to me these are about Photography.

Rant over - Sorry.

Banath - Will you be at the Turf on Sunday - Come On You Clarets!!!!!

Outdoor Photography(good!), Digital photo(as above, not so good now) and just started Photoplus(best of the lot as it is aimed at canon)................having said all that each publication has good months and they all have bad ones aswell.

Graeme, Not this Sunday I went to the Stoke game in November, I'll be watching from the comfort of my living room when the clarets win!

Just been flicking through the sample of PhotoPlus and it seems quite decent.

Think i might be starting to grab that mag from now on. :)

READ??
Just look at the photos...
Normally any aimed at professional photography but have brought a few copies of amateur photographer and was very pleased with the content of late

Anything that takes my fancy at the time, and I've a subscription to Photo Plus, because it's aimed at Canon users.

(and if anyone from that mag is reading this, I'm still waiting for my monopod)

Skywings and Paramotor magazines.

Certainly not Photo mags, well not that sort :naughty:

well, you did ask. :D

Dslruser which is pretty good.
I don't usually buy mags as most of them have far too many ad's in and why should I pay to be advertised to

Digital Photographer - Which I'm becoming less interested in and Advanced Photoshop which is good for tutorials and alternative artists that use photography.

over the last few months i've been buying about 4 or 5 publications :O

Practical photography, Digital Camera, DSLR user, the other DSLR one (can't remember name off top of my head), Outdoor photography and photoplus, oh, that's 6 :O

I too have to admit the last couple of months I have bought quite a few.....AP, Digital SLR user, Professional Photographer, Digital Camera.

I normally try to stick to 1 or 2 at most a month now, get whatever else I need off this forum or other internet sites.

i just flick thru pictures ;)

AP and B&W for me. Occasionally I will pick up Pro, but I've found that PRactical photography and digital photography are both a bit gear focused, not much about actual photography.

I've just bought a copy of PhotoPlus and i must say, i'm impressed with it. Quite good tips and stuff in here for someone who is starting out like me. :)

I hear ya! Photoicon is great, I subscribed to it after the first issue.

BJP and Private (just for the composition and lighting of shots);)

Subscription to Digital Photo for me.

I've been subscribed to Digital Photo for about 2 years now and it's pretty much done the same repetition of tutorials twice in that time .../ Note to self - cancel the bleedin' subscription!

EOS Magazine - very worthwile read imo (only if you're a Canon user of course ;)

Photoplus and Digital Photo. Only just started with photography so I have found no repetition yet.

To be fair, Digital Photo is an excellent magazine when you're starting with digital. The Photoshop tutorials are invaluable and an endless source of tips, tricks and information. It's just that, over time, you find the same info get covered again and again. Not really a critisism of them though, just inevitable I guess

ive mainly been reading digital photo, but have also bought digital slr user, both seem ok for a newbie :D
